    Default Q: Where can i upload my .x3d and .xar files to show?

    i have tried fortunecity.com free hosting and geocities.com

    they both say "invalid file type"

    what i am trying to do is, upload my file so i can show users on this forum

    Hi Craig,

    The .x3d and .xar files are not recognised by any web browser so they will not show.

    You must export to a web browser compatible file type like .gif, .jpg, .png, or .swf.

    Animations can be either .gif or .swf.

    Still images can be .gif, .jpg, or .png file type.

    Always keep your .x3d and .xar files because they are the source file. If you need to make changes or modifications you will need those files, otherwise you would have to recreate the entire drawing before making changes.

    Further to Bills comments you can attach both xar and x3d files here at talk graphics. But most of the time jpg, gif and png suffice.
