    Is Magix Xtreme Photo & Graphic Designer, in essence, the same as Xara Xtreme?

    Yes, but somehow the Magix version was quite a bit slower for me and also not really stable on WinXP SP2.

    I think that the Magix version has less features and is more of a mass market version.
