    Default A SketchUp Egret

    Time for my semi-annual post.

The background is a snip from a photo offered on the web as Windows Wallpaper, and it purports to be sunset in The Everglades. The image of the egret was created by me using Google SketchUp, rendered with Podium, and combined with the background and shaded to suit the lighting with Xara Xtreme 4.

The second image is an in-process screen capture from SketchUp, and the third image is a direct SketchUp export to JPG.

The ability to create smooth organic shapes in SketchUp became available this year with the release the "Subdivide and Smooth" plugin, in case you're wondering...

That's impressive work, Terry - very, very good.

Amazing work for sketchuup! Great job.

    Well well done Terry!

Hopefully, you won't stay away so long next time. I like to see your work.

Maybe quartery would be a better estimate, then annually...

Thank you all for the kind words.

Hi John! I probably will be posting here more often in the future. I'm retired now, and I have more time for (as my wife calls it) "computer games"...
