    Default Node keyboard delete

    Hi,

The key delete works for the 'delete objects' and 'delete node' function.

Would it be possible to assign a keyboard shortcut that would operate the same way?

For example, I use "X" for 'delete object' because it is close to my left hand. Then when I assign it also to 'delete node' I get a clash warning and it does not vork the same way the "delete" key do.

    Thanks,

    Marc

In Xtreme Pro 4 you can reassign a key in the Utilities > Customize Keys Shortcuts...

If X is assigned to another function, you can unassign it and reassign it to delete control points as Xara calls them.

This utility has been around for several versions now but in different forms and in different places. But as far as I know only Xtreme Pro 4 has it in the Utilities menu.

In Xtreme 4 it is in the Start > Xara > Xtreme Shortcuts menu.

Hi Gary, I forgot to mention that it was through the Customize Keys Shortcuts that I have assigned this.

I was only hoping for having this kind of double role that delete have on another key.

    Regards,

    Marc

Marc - I am not sure I understand the problem.

I just set Edit > Delete Points to x without problems.

Ctrl x is Cut to Clipboard and as that is universal you don't want to change that but a simple x seems to work.

Am I missing something (probably )

I think Marc want to set the x key to do the same as the delete key - ie both delete objects and delete nodes depending which are selected

sorry - as you may have gathered, I don't know how to do that and I rather suspect it can't be done because of the way keyboard addressing is arranged [hence the unpredictability if you try] - but someone may prove me wrong
