After reading Bobs 'My First Out Of Bounds' thread in the PaintShopPro forum, I thought I'd spend some of this hot Sunday morning having a shot in Xtreme.
Here's my result (showing the orginal photo of my son, taken two years ago, as a thumbnail)

WOW!
What an absolutely stunning effect. It makes just your standard backyard photo really POP!
Wasn't there a thread on here where someone was taking photos of the Royal Guard, or something, and making them march out of the picture. Maybe I saw it somewhere else, but I'm fairly sure it's on XaraXone. I'm sure someone can come up with a link. I haven't hit on the right search phrase, yet.
I'm off to check out Bob's photo manipulation(s).
After further examination of your photo, Steve, I've got to ask. Did you make the out of picture image from 2 different photos or did you do some creative cut and paste to repair the background that shows through the gap in your son's legs? Either way, brilliant work.
Fantastic stuff,
Harry

One photo Harry for the OOB image..
I've found that with the right choice of photo, there's no repair work needed. Obviously, with the wrong choice, there is some necessary patching/repair.
1. Cutout the subject
2. Apply a mould envelope to the background
3. Try to hide the cutout space with the foreground subject
4. If you can't - then patch/fix/repair
100% Xtreme by the way. No need for external tools for this.
Thanks for the comments.
Great effect Steve
That's one way to get to the other side!
Great work Steve.

pretty neat Steve.
Your son looks a little too sliced I think for me. Did you feather the edge a little? If not, would you mind trying that so I could see if that could blend the two pictures a little more. Just wondering...
The lighting is the biggest problem with these types of composites, but the lighting seems to match, so I thought maybe a little feathering. There is just something slightly off, and I am not sure exactly what.
Steve,
Great work. That is a wonderful composition! One might say, 'a grabber!'
Hot up there, come down here -last two nights have been around 7C.
Rupert
John - it's one photo. There is some feathering. Enough for me thanks.
Here's a closer view:
Must be the homebrew that's off
It's one photo (the same photo). Lighting is all natural, as shot.
@Rupert:
Very hot. 36c today. A storm has just dumped some rain and brought the temp down (until the sun comes out again )
Cairns region has had hottest November on record for many years, around 10c above average.
Brilliant work Steve. Unlike John, I don't notice anything slightly off. Either I'm not consciously looking for problems, or my eyes aren't as good as John's.

A good looking effect Steve. Really makes the subject stand out.
