    Default repeling

    Hi

    this as they say is doing my head in

    the attached xar file has an image and a text box.

    I want the text o repel around the text box.

    Tried selecting the text - right click repel and selecting the image right clicking and repel.

    Failed dismaly :-(

    Can someone assist?

    I don't know if I have understood you right but if you want the text to repel around the small image you have to bring it to the top, ctrl F, then rightclick the small image and choose repel text under.

    Ian, it looks like you have to place your object in front (Ctrl + F) of your text box. Edit: Just tried it on your file and it works.

    Tried selecting the text - right click repel and selecting the image right clicking and repel.
    Choose the object (it's the object that repels the text) - right click - select "repel text under" Of course (as stated above), only text under the object will be repelled.

    Your text "Lamellas are kiln ...into long lengths." is like Text area.
    Try it with simple formatted text, bring image to top and repel works fine.

    Hi Ian,

    It's quite simply really.
    As all the responses have tried to say, it's the *object* on top of the text that has the repelling set, not the text itself.
    IOW, the text is 'repelled' BY the 'object'
