My first foray with an image into this forum. I would be grateful for comments either way. I am fairly thick skinned with no artistic training, but have been a committed photographer for many years.
This shot was taken from my bed (!!), and I was attracted by the shadows thrown onto the bedroom wall. I felt quite strongly that I wanted to make it quite a vibrant image even though it was fairly monochromatic when taken on my digital camera.

Any thoughts on composition, colour choices, light and shade etc
The image is too small. Have tried to increase it's size but still gets cut down to present size.
Have discovered it can be viewed full size using slideshow option

    Hi,
Since your shadows are way over to the right it suggests a definate sidelight. Therefore your table and pots should have highlights on the left side. Also the shadows wouldn't be that dark, nor would edges be that sharp. If the shadows are hopefully on another layer, blur them slightly and add about 40% transparency to them. Unfortunately that is one of the drawbacks of using a photo for a reference, for shadows as they look more defined then they are.
