    Default photo copy

I was reading a tutorial in a magazine a short time ago where a photograph was made more 'graphic' by applying various adjustments, copying the layers, adjusting the copy, adjusting the original and various other rather long winded operations to end up with a similar image to the one attached which was done using xara in a couple of clicks using the threshold filter and softfocus filter. This image is a bit cluttered but the effect is almost indentical and so much easier to do than the magazine example - plus you don't have to rush out and buy photoshop if you dont already have it.

Very true Derek and a good example.
I often am reminded of a comment I once heard that went something like;"If it's difficult - then you're doing something wrong"

I understood what that mean't and have never fogotten.

I use Xtreme for many subtle photo operations that would be tiresome and long-winded in PS or PSP.
Xtreme is just so much faster and intuitive.
