    certainly I would put this third behind spiro and diffusion curves... from what I have so far seen...

    Spiro and diffusion curves are much more interesting. Some very tiny adds to existing drawing control tools in Xara (already much more efficient than Illustrator ones) could close the gap.

    For example I vote for true clones or instances !

    Oh, yes, clones are very userul!

    Clones are in the second position of my "perfect Xara" wishlist, after better layers (first) and before better brushes (third).

    Oh, well, let's hope for Christmas!

    As far as I can tell, it isn't that different from how Xara already handles curves. In fact the simple curves video seems to be exactly how Xara handles curves. Admittedly there is some additional control of the tangent points to get exact positioning, but IMHO not enough to justify any extra expense.
