    Default Improper line reduction

I have been doing some illustrations using the blip tool for my lines. I usually never have a problem with this, but lately if I try to reduce the drawing, the lines want to stay thicker than is proportional and look really rough. I don't know if this is a glitch or a setting issue or what.

    Here are my examples:

    Any reduced in Xara:

    Any advice?
