    Default Window to Illusion Piece

This is something I did a while back with Xara X; a study in orbs, lighting, and blends. I also used my fire brush to create the flaming fill in the orbs--definitely my favorite part of this image. Reminds me of the Palantir in Lord of the Rings.

To let everyone know, you can download my fire brush at Xaraxone.com; just follow this url:

    http://xaraxone.com/html/fills_and_brushes.html

It's under the brushes and fills section. The pattern doesn't look all that great until you start layering it over and over on top of itself.

It really takes on a life of it's own if you do it the right way. Works great against a contrasting background as well.

What I did with the orbs is create a section of fire, made a bitmap copy because it's much more manageable object, then used the bitmap as a fill to the circle and applied the circular transparency to the circle as well.

I would love to see what someone who's a little farther along could do with this brush. Let me know if you've got questions!

I really like this, the orbs remind me of a pottery glaze.
