    Default html problems

I created the html from the workshop. Looks good. When I open it I get a security message that states: To help protect your security, IE has restricted this webpage from running scripts or ActiveX controls that could access your compter.
When I open Gary's page from the tutorial I do not get that message.
    Why?

    Hi dben,

this warning only pops-up when you open html files which contain scripts from your HDD with Internet Explorer. You won't see this browsing on-line, as well as with any other browsers.

    BTW Wellcome to the forum!
    John.

One of Microsofts annoying little quirks to protect people from themselves.

I suggest using Firefox as your default browser. And if you then get the IE Tab Addon, you can still use Internet Explorer whenever you want to and not get the annoying activeX nonsense. Also comes in handy for sites that'll only talk to Internet Explorer.
