    Samantha

we may be talking different things - but the color editor in the color with gradient filter does have the option to insert color code - not sure if it will go hex rather than decimal - but I have a chart on my wall for that - a common prob for me

    Bob

nice tutorial - [now I get round to reading it..] thanks

    Bob,

I am referring to the box you posted.
Lets say you need to match the hex code (HTML) #660099.
There is no field to enter that code.
There is a field for it on the standard color editor box but not on the gradient box as your image shows. You need to know that hex code (HTML) #660099 corresponds to rgb(102,0,153) to build the gradient. Would be nice to have that field available in that tool also.

I use this site: h**p://meyerweb.com/eric/tools/color-blend/ to get nice blends and quickly convert hex to rgb.

ok - so we are on the same wavelength

I keep that hex [#] to decimal chart handy for just this sort of problem, I use several programs and it crops up elsewhere

Also have a calculator that does it - but that's slower - sometime the traditional solutions work better

I agree a hex option for the color with gradient filter would be better

chart attached in case its useful

Nice Chart. I put it on my desktop for easy reference. Thanks.
