    Wow!
    That is phenomenal, Mike.
Escher would have loved it, I'm sure.
Can you enlighten me how you did this?
Mesh extraction doesn't mean a thing to me.
    Must be a program I don't use.
    Saludos,
    Bob.

Excellent Mike - Although as regards pure impact I still prefer the red one.

P.S. Where do you find your models .................

    Great work, Mike.

@Bob: Start a Google search for "mesh extraction" and follow the second link to the Zbrush info wiki. Google is your friend.

    Bob,

I made a pattern of lines with Xara and saved it as a bitmap. I imported the bitmap into Zbrush as a texture map and applied it to the model. I used a Zbrush command "mask from intensity" to create a mask from the texture. With the mask applied I used ZBrush's mesh extraction to create what you see.

Check out http://www.pixologic.com/zclassroom/ for a look inside Zbrush.

    ss-kalm,
Where do you find your models
A good source for models is http://www.daz3d.com/ and http://renderosity.com/

Wow! Is that ZBrush ever cool! I just viewed the make a sword tutorial and I was riveted to the screen. Too bad this prg comes with such a hefty price tag ($600). Fascinating!

    Drifter,

I too just viewed the sword tutorial - The way that handle was coloured and textured was absolutely amazing.

The guy who did the video has obviously worked with that program for a while.

An amazing result. I would suggest you to enhance quite the backround, but even like this it is awesome.
