    Default Protecting Images Online

I would like to create an online web gallery.

Is there a way of protecting my images so they cannot be copied etc. please?

at the end of the day - if you can screen capture - you can copy

watermarking may help [xara has a couple of tutorials for this]

There is a JavaScript (which I donīt have handy) that will not let people right click and save, but as stated above, screen save or a screen saver utility will still work.

The right click disabler is so easy to get around. It's always possible to fish the images from the browser cache..

All one needs to do is press the print screen button on a windows keyboard. Which copies the contents of the screen to the clipboard. Then paste the image into a graphics program, such as MS paint or better. There is no such thing as protecting your images online.

The only way is to keep your great images off the net, and only put up images that are barely big enough to tease. Most none graphic folk will print anything at 8X10 (even thumbnails) and hang it on there wall.
