Default when will Xara work on 64BIT VISTA?

Anyone know when xara will be 64bitVista compatible?

I havent been able to use it for months now. I trialled the vista upgrade and it gave weird artifacts on the board after using the feather tool-like invisible text and only drawing in outline mode.
graphics care Nvidea Gforce 8800 GTS. driver version:7.15.11.141

I`m dying to get back into xara on my new system, and am being very patient, but when I see everyone else posting and enjoying the tool I get really frustrated !!! especially with no estimated time of arrival, ...when was the last time you were confined to using only illustrator ! (get it?)

I have not been able to use Xara on my 64bit since upgrading from my old wi 2000 pentium3 550mhtz, which was an old bomb but at least it worked with Xara. I should have kept it lying around, I learn the lesson.

    any estimated time of arrival?

Why not use 32bit Vista? Where I work we dont even sell Vista with new computers unless the customer absolutly wants Vista (and even then we try to talk them out of it...).

Or reinstall WinXp if you still have the discs.

    Question for a Techi:

Can you run virtual PC on Vista so you could have both a 32 bit and 64 bit version. Or Install XP on the virtual PC?

I am not an expert, but it is possible that it is the Nvidia graphics rather than the Vista that is causing the problem. Before doing anything drastic, try using an alternate video card (ATI). Have seen similar problems solved this way.

    Yes you certainly can

What is the difference between VPC 2004 and VPC 2007?

VPC 2007 includes the following new features
*Support for Windows Vista as a host
*Support for Windows Vista as a guest
*Support for Windows Vista 64-bit as a host
*Improved performance compared to Virtual PC 2004

For Host and Guest PC requirements, have a look here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/dow...pc/sysreq.mspx

    Download VPC 2007 here:

    Hi Mark,

I did have the same problem.
Keith is probably right about the graphics card, but I solved it by changing the shortcut's compatibility to Windows XP SP2.

    Sorry Tom,

I cannot send PM - I do not have enough privileges, since I am a new member.

The Font is "English 111 Vivace BT" It's a Bitstream Font. Enclosed for your information.
