What 3D programs do you have. Without knowing that we cannot point you to tutorials that would help you to learn. You may have Blender and a tutorial for Cinema 4D would not help very much.

You can download the PLE edition from one of the links on the page in the above URL.

I do not know if Autodesk has changed the video requirements for Maya. The previous versions required a very high end graphics card. Check your hardware against their list of requirements.
