Can anybody tell me how to create GIF banner that contain 3 pictures and that they change every 2 seconds.
???
It's easy:
- Create a new animation (menu "File" -> "New" -> "Animation").
- Open the Frame gallery (menu "Utilities" -> "Galleries" -> "Frame Gallery")
- Now, you can insert objects for your first frame.
- Click on the Button "Copy" in the Frame Gallery to copy the first frame.
- Change the second frame.
- Export your GIF animation.
See also the attached .XAR file.

This doesn't work in XaraLX because it doesn't have the animation code yet. There's no template to create an animation and no frame gallery either.
Opening a .xar file with an animation in it works, but you can only see the first frame, and the layer gallery is disabled (seems it's smart enough to know it needs to use the frame gallery and not the layer gallery, at least).
Currently there's no way to perform this sort of operation solely in XaraLX. You'd have to create the images separately and then use external software to generate the animation.
This signature would be seven words long if it was six words shorter.
You might want to take a look at the
Banner Challenge
thread for lots of great banner examples and I think there are a few tips in there on how some things were done. Good luck.
If you want to create them with xara (the 3 pictures), you should paint them several, I mean one picture at one page, export every picture several as a gif with the same size and open them in gimp.
In Gimp open the first .gif and then open as a level (hope thats correct) (ctrl+alt+O) the other 2 pictures.
Then you can create an animation. You can play the animation or save as an animation. While exporting you can say, how long the pictures are shown.
