    Default Elliptical Fill

I am trying to create an ellipse with a simple fade fill, from a solid color center point to a disappearing (feathered) edge. Any how-to advice?
    Thank you for your help.

After selecting Fill Tool Icon (F5)> Choose Elliptical Fill.

Once you get it ready, double click on the small rectangle adjustments, see below. You can then set the center color or edge colors as you wish by using the Color Editor after you double click.

    What james said, plus:

If you double-click on one of the lines of the fill, a new fill handle will be added at that point, which you can edit in the same way. You can drag these new fill handles back and forth on the line to change their locations as well.

    Good for fine-tuning your results.

    rhutner,
To acheive a transparent edge, create your elipse with a solid fill and apply an eliptical transparency to it; 0% transparency in the middle and 100% to the edge. You can adjust it to your pleasure.
