Default Your own reflexion maps for Eye Candy 4000 Chrome

Above left on the picture and below as tiff files are two reflexion maps I created for Eye Candy 4000 Chrome which is one of the free plugins installed with Xtreme. Place them in the Reflexion Maps subfolder of your Eye candy 4000 folder. The two first lines in the below row show the effects of these reflexion maps.

It's fairly easy to create this kind of maps with any picture or Xara object of any shape. One tip is fading to white on the upper side if you want increase the bevel effect of the chrome.

The picture must be saved in tiff (8 bit for lightness) and without any compression type.

    kindly,
    ivan

It seems I wasn't allowed to upload tiff files on the forum. Thus I give you the originals of these maps in a xar file for you to save.

    kindly,
    ivan

Here are the results of a Soft Silver reflexion map made of a Xara outline object. I send this object in Xar format below.

I have added some glass effects with tinting to create the gold, copper and other metallic effects.

    kindly,
    ivan

I tried maps a long time ago, but never got the program to see them. I have a set of maps for E3 and SBP.

I think the maps for E3 could work very well for Chrome too. That's only a matter of converting them to uncompressed tiff.

On the other hand at the moment I am trying to create maps with abstract shapes and that's very funny too. Perhaps more suitable for cartoony objects.

    kindly,
    ivan

I must not have saved in the correct TIFF format. These were converted to BMP for SBP, and JPEG for E3. In E3, they just apply color and not shaping.
