the ugliest logo and this whole forum is about graphics...

so i think it would be cool if this forum had a little contest to see who could come up with the best looking logo

the admins just need to post the rules and the requirements for making the logo (size, dimensions, etc...)

what do you think?

I like the current logo. I don't think it will change nor should it. It's still a fairly new design. If anything was done to it, it should be like what Google does to theirs from time to time. Put a little snow on top in the winter months - dress it up for different occasions, stuff like that.

Your design, although not bad, I don't see a logo. Simply having the word "TalkGraphics" to represent "TalkGraphics" isn't much of a design really.

better, I also liked the old one.

I really like the one where the T was two talking heads in the negativ space.
but I would have liked it better if the G would have been "the woody board you hold in your
hand to splash the paint on" representation, then the TALK would have been talking, and
de G would have been Graphicing, but , the contest ended.

I've just looked at the other post from above. Some nice logos in there.
But I think that the current logo tells everything that the forum is about.
I like that bubble-symbol for talking.
But if you ever wanna change there are already lots of other great logos.

I may be talking about something I know nothing about (oh wait, I am talking about something I know nothing about!), but it might be possible for you to use your own logo in place of the TalkGraphics one if you use FireFox and create a GreaseMonkey script to replace the logo when the page creates itself. I know nothing about GreaseMonkey scripts other than having used a site with GM capabilities, and they allow some neat things to be done.
