No more animated Avatar gifs?

yeah .... i'd like to have my creations in my signature too .... but signatures cannot have animated images either (i tried hosting both on my own server and uploading to here)

I noticed that Keithmj now has an animated avatar. Does this mean this is now available or has he figured out some work-around?

I have one since a week or so. I suppose they enabled it a while ago or something. Try it
