    Default Attempting to identify font

I need to recreate the image that is shown below for that person so that it is in Vector format. I'm sure that I've seen that font before, but I can't seem to figure out which font it is.

The original artist only provided the logo in bit image formats. I am fairly sure that he didn't hand create the letters but used a font he had available when he did it. I'm guessing Photoshop was used.

I would recreate it totally from scratch without a font, but it would be a lot easier if I could figure out the font used instead.

I went though my font library which is pretty large, but didn't find it (or missed it). I also tried a couple font identifiers but they didn't come close.

    yes.

About 1/3 of the "solution" fonts had not samples to show what they looked like.

None of the others that had samples looked close at all.

Well no luck figuring out the font...

I did get a hold of the original artist, but he didn't know what font he used either. He had an EPS version of the file, but it was really a bit image within it rather than a separated vector.

I really didn't need the font for making more letters, just wanted more control over the image so that I could work with it better. So, I did a bit of tracing and ended up with a full source vector of the image so I can now manipulate it the way I need to from raw source.

One rendition after it was torn apart.

    Hi Krelvin,

I'm glad you found a workaround. I've searched all the fonts I have, the Xara fonts site, and dafonts.com and haven't found a match.

The original artist may have modified a font for the look he wanted.

The closest in my collection, while not a perfect match, it's fairly close.

I'll swear I know your font, but can't place it.
