Please HELP! File format changed in Corel PSP

I hope this makes sense as I am not very computer literate (please bear with me!). I recently bought a new computer with a trial version of Corel PSP on it. I tried to open some files to try it out and I was asked if I wanted to convert these files to paint shop pro files or something of that nature. My trial version is going to end soon and I don't think I am going to purchase the software. My question is, is there anyway to convert these files back to their original format. Currently, I can not open these files with my other photo editting software (ZoomBrowser EX). I hope I have explained this adequately, and I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

You could use Paintshop Pro itself to reconvert your files. But there is another way: I recommend to use XnView (www.xnview.com). With this nice freeware-tool you are able to crossconvert between about 300 graphic-formats. Paintshop should be one of them.
