How to do I go about converting a EPS file to a JPEG or a GIF? What program would I use to do this? Any advice will help. Thanks.

What programs do you currently have?
Do you know what program was used to create the .eps file?
Xara Xtreme can import some .eps files, but some it will not.
This may be true of any program.
I've had difficulty with some .eps files in Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, and Illustrator.

I don't know the orgin program of the EPS file, I do know that it is graphic logo. I was thinking about using Corel Draw or Photoshop to check it out, but then you said that you have had problems with these types of files. Why is it called an EPS file? Is there a certain significance of the name EPS?
You should try importing the file into CorelDraw and/or Photoshop. You may find it is easily done. You may get a message saying unrecognized file type, or that some information may not be as intended.
Try it, you may find everything works well.
EPS has been referred to as Encapsulated Post Script and as Enhanced Post Script. I'm not sure which is the 'official' version.
Post Script was initially a printer language and also used to refer to the type of printer (one that accepts post script as the language to describe how something is printed).
EPS simply has added functionality to the original PS (post script).

I tried it in Photoshop and I was able to save it as a jpeg file. Thanks for the information
In order for you to save as a .jpeg, you need to be sure your are in RGB or CMYK or Grayscale Modes. If you are in Index or other, it won't work.
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.

Thanks for the info sallybode, I have a question though, I was able to save it under a jpeg file in photo shop, but I didn't have to change anything to RBG or CMYK. Did Photoshop do it for me?
