    Default Designing a logo

    Hi All,

Well I've been asked to desing a logo for an acquaintance who runs a company called act. They store anything you can think of. I just wondered if anyone could offer any inspiration for this... I know it's kinda cheeky to ask, but I'm doing it free of charge so I might as well ask all you designer chappies out there...

    Cheers

    Hmm

The least you could do is provide a design brief.

There's no brief... it's a free for all.... lol
Basically a small company that stores anything from documents to cars and buses.... I thought some might find it a nice bit of a relaxed exercise for the end of the week.... I have plenty of paper doodles myself, but still to put onto xara. I was thinking of very simplistic designs... based around the letters a, c and t.

But feel free to exercise your imagination.

    Cheers

    Andy,
I'm guessing that ACT wouldn't probably store someones car for free. Why would they expect to get a logo designed for free?

Well actually you can always ask. The maximum you'll get will be a yes since you are already expecting a "no" (by Seth gothing or Robert Kiosaki - marketing techniques).

"You don't ask, you don't get". Well, if you pay peanuts you get monkeys. Some of us make our living from design and I for one am more than willing to give generously of my time and experience to help out somebody needing some hints, tips or direction. But no corporate body is ever going to get a freebie out of me, a corporate body who will profit from my work without a thought for compensating me for my effort, and anybody who does that is in my eyes a fool. And do not for one moment think some of the professionals on this board have never done any charity work, that is not what we are talking about here.

If I have offended anybody, sorry, but that's my opinion.
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.
