Creating an image with accent marks for english text

I've created an image and added the word Resume (as in, a doicument that lists your job history.

I beleive the correct usage of the word contain two accent marks, one over each e.

How can I apply those accent marks over the text word resume, in Paint Shop pro?

Thanks. I look forward to any assistance. I'm just beginning with PSP (I'm using v 7.05).

Hi Chris,

Welcome to Talkgraphics.

The é character can be entered by holding an Alt key down and then typing 0233 on the numeric keypad, when you release the alt key the character will be shown.

I do a lot of work requiring special characters, since one of the websites I created and maintain is in Spanish. I cheat with the characters, using the Microsoft Word Spanish spell-check to get the words right, then cutting and pasting the text from word into PSP to make buttons, headers, etc.

If I may add to that:

Any symbol is listed withing the ascii code is used as ALT+NUM For example ALT+23=§ There is a table I used to have (though can't find it right now) which tags each ascii symbol. I am certein you can find it if you search for it.

There is a better software than what comes with Windows for finding characters than the Character Map, and it is available here:

It is nearly at the bottom of the page and it is called Character Map Pro. The download is free and I have used it for years.

Great little utility. Much easier to use than Windows insert character.
