Here is the .xar file that led to that weird looking blend two posts above. Intbel, or anyone, please tell me why this is happening instead of the face just changing nicely.

"Intbel" ... "Can't" is not an option.
Compliance is futile. Resistance is futile. Just do your own thing an' ignore 'em.
This is the SAME THING it was doing with my simple smile to frown blend...
Xara doesn't know how to interpret all the changes happening simultaneously. If you break it into just the trouble areas, you will have success.
[Edit] Maybe I should rephrase that - Xara thinks that more is changing than is really changing when you do everything at once, because you have more shapes in your second blend object, and doesn't know what corresponds to what, and guesses wrong. [/Edit]

Now THAT makes sense! Thanks, David. I started playing with the two faces and got rid of the extras and just moved the shapes around from the first pic and the blend worked just fine. It must be that adding of new shapes to the second one that is making the mess, like you said. Thanks again for explaining this - I was at a total loss as to why it wouldn't work.
Wow! I certainly learned a lot from you guys in this thread about Xara's most excellent animation capabilities! Thank you all. I was originally copying and pasting, but this blend thing, the layers thing, the alignment thing, and more, they have all made animation in Xara a SNAP!!!!!
Thank you so much.
[I am also wondering if a Xara Xtreme Animation area would be good for this forum, so the anim stuff doesn't get lost with everything else...]
Just playing (but this is fun)...
hmmmm, now what would be the easiest way for me to copy this anim and move all the frames over (repeatedly) so he goes in and out of holes all the way across the screen???

There must be an easier way to do this...
