    Exclamation iStockphoto and Xtreme

    Hi All,

I went to iStockPhoto to download a background for my latest project and when I log in I see a discussion on Xara Xtreme.

    http://www.istockphoto.com/forum_mes...d=32829&page=1

Apparently Xara doanted some copies which got doled out and voila - new converts!

Check out the link. Not sure if you ahve to register to see the postings. Interesting POV given the discussions here. Perhaps a well worded post will direct folks to Talk Graphics (ahem)

No, you don't have to register, the link works fine. Very interesting comments there.

But did you try clicking on any of them, you go to a message saying that this page no longer exists.

I was going to say it's been a while since we have seen Milton around this conference then I noticed the date of his post. August 2000. Never mind.

I have been around, but as Gary knows, I work for a company that stresses data over "pretty" (your computer is probably using our CPU and it takes me away from Xara more than I would like. I poke my head to see what's going on but I typically have little saying once one of the XoneMaster answers the question. At work I am delving more into database and less into UI's, I am becoming what I thought what I never would be, a data snob. However, I still use Xara exclusively for videos which keeps me sane. I have been working on a new project and there is a Trompe L'oeil effect that I need to replicate in Xara - I've been stumped. I still owe this forum a sample of my last video creation that used Xara transparencies - I will muster staying up past 10pm to do it. Soon enough.

I am forever grateful this forum exists even though I have had little to contribute lately.

    Milt
