How do I make a keyline around a bitmap?
Also...is there an easy way to underline text in Xtreme?
Thanks,

Hey Ron,
What exactly do you mean by KEYLINE? That term has been used to describe the black or K plate in color separations.
To my knowledge, there is no automatic way to underline text in Xtreme. Additional text handling tools have been on the "wish list" for some time now, and I'm sure the good people at Xara will eventually add them to the program. I personally don't use underline enough for it to be a major problem.

Ed,
Maybe I have my terms confused, but I thought the "keyline" was the stroke around a picture. Anyway, that's what I meant. What's a quick way to put a stroke around a photo?
Thanks for confirming my suspicion about the lack of an underline feature. Oh well...
- Ron
Hello Ron,
As far as I know there is no way to add a stroke as you would in Photoshop...I would place a rectangle behind your photograph. If you want a 5 pixel stroke make the rectangle 10 pixels larger on the horizontal and vertical axis and center it behind the image. Make the rectangle the color that you want as a border.

Standard underlining is not available but text on a line is if you draw a line and with the line still selected use the text tool and click on the line you can type your text which remains attached to the line.

Thank you Joel and Christine for your input. That should do it.

You can add a line to a picture just convert it to editable shapes, then you can add a line of any thickness, any color.
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.
