Created winth Xara X1 (with 12 crashes)

Xara X1 is great but it crashes very offen. For a professional work that took me 5 hours, I have experimented 12 Xara X1 crashes.
I have lost 4 times the file while saving (I had recoveded the previous file saved searchig for a backup file in windows - application data folder).

The only thing that I want in Xara X2 is stability!!!!!!

I realy want to use this application but for 179 $ you get a lot of trouble.

What is your system configuration?

My guess is that your ad is using a lot of system resources (memory) which can cause Xara to become unstable and crash.

I would suggest doing the ad in sections and then when you have created the different sections, copy and paste and put all the elements in place.

Keep other applications that you do not need closed.

You might also set the number of Undo steps in the Page Options > Tune-ups menu to a smaller number and save your work frequently. Xara defaults to unlimited undo which means that with a complex file and with a lot of complex changes you are eating up a lot of memory.

And if necessary, shut down Windows from time to time and reboot. This starts you out with the most system resources.

I don't think is about low system resources.
I use use a very good computer (see atached file).

When I created the artwork I used only Photoshop + Explorer + Xara X1.

Ahtlon 64 and Win XP SP2 support hardware DEP. Xara X doesn't like it.

# Right click on My Computer and select Properties
# Select Advanced and click on the settings button below the subheading 'Performance'
# Select the Data Execution Protection Tab
# Select the Add button
# Browse to the Xara X1 installation folder and double click on XaraX.exe to add it to the list.
