STOP and Post - Sept 2005

I thought I'd have a go at font design - I had an idea of a font based on an ellipse. It is a pseudo-monospaced font - each character is the same width but has its own kerning space. There is no upper case, and so far no numerals.

The characters were designed in XaraX, exported as hi-res GIFs and imported into the demo version of Font Creator 5 (how will I ever be able to afford to buy it - sob, sob!).

If anyone wants the TTF of Ovolo, e-mail me.

If you mean "Butterfingers", it's just my stage name as a blues keyboardist!

I've just added a set of numerals (0-9) to Ovolo Normal.

Are you talking about the High Logic version of Font Creator 5 - man it's only $99 for the pro version - that's a snip when compaired to Fontographer or FontLab. Link below,

I may get somebody to buy it for my birthday in that case...

Everybody else; yes indeed, it is I, Simon "Chicago Butterfingers" Beck, blues pianist and XaraX minimalist ordinaire (but thanks for the compliments, folks!). I've put in a request for my handle to be changed to "Simon Beck" in the forum, but it may be a while.
