    (1) Type out your text
    (2) Create a small bitmap copy
    (3) Trace on worst setting
    (4) Apply a "thick-ish" line width and no fill
    (4) Convert line to shape
    (5) Apply a line width / with a pointy stroke shape / and "miter join".

    Have to play around with settings (and perhaps clean up a bit). This one is not "cleaned".

    it is the bedrock font (flintstones) and applied a 50step contour

    Lots of people pitching in here. I was simply "feeding" off what was already posted - why not thank everyone that took the time? http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif

    Come to think of it - after you mangle your font/word - the contout tool as Mike used, might actually work better than a brush stoke - and "miter join".

    Sorry Richard it wasnt the contour tool i used it was the blend tool 50 steps.
