I believe installing X1 and Webstyle4 MAY cause you problems. If I remember correctly I tried installing WebStyle (or was it Webster) and now (even after uninstalling it) I am asked to register Xara each time I start it.
Anthony F from Xara Ltd can verify. Anthony, you there?
Hi John,
Webstyle is xara's web design product. Webster is xara X lite... (Or as the rude and crude put it... "Xara's retarded little brother") http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/wink.gif
Hi Mcalin,
Welcome to Talkgraphics. If you read through the legal mumbo jumbo you will find a passage that lets you load xara x on 2 pc's as long as you do not run the programs concurrently... So you can load it on your home computer, and at work. I even think Charles (the head honcho at xara) even said 2 was okay... For 3, I would think you need special papal premission for.
I can not grant that. I am only the patron saint of OT.... http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif
IIRC, the XaraX FAQ states that you can install it on as many computers as you like as long as you're the only one that uses XaraX on those.
Alien's right, I asked the same thing here:

Hope you click that link before the forum moves to vBulletin!
Well, I stand corrected...
John C - When you move from different versions of Xara X, say from X to X1, you get that requestor screen asking if you want to register the version you opened. This is not a problem or a bug. I believe it just makes a few changes in the registry.

Hi GAry,
What I am talking about is a bug. Because each time you start X or X1 it always asks you for register the program. So, for instance, you open X1, do your work, close it, and then reopen X1 it will still ask you to register X1. The prob came up after I installed whatever comes on the CD (either Webster or Webstyle) and once done can't be remedied by uninstalling it. Anthony F also had the same prob.
John
John, have you tried this?
