When I make a Xara 3D Animation and sample it in ACDSEE, or any other hard drive program it works fine and takes up 5% of my Pentium 4 capacity.

However when I load same onto my website it takes almost 100% of my CPU's energy and does not run as smoothly as it did in the hard drive situations.

Anyone have any experience with this and can it be corrected?

Sounds like a browser issue... which browser are we talking about here?

    Hopefully it's not AOL. >:P

Here is where I am using the animated gif.
Even before I added the javascript and the other swf files this was using 99% of my cpu.

The animated gif is 140kb. and when not in the html format it spins very smoothly.

I am using Mozilla 3.1 and it's fine. It's a very heavy site. My DDR RAM usage dropped by about 30 pts. (from 742 to 711) seems to be stable now.

I've got a question though, what is that part that is directly over the blue news bar?? My browser needs a plugin and I'm not sure what to look for!

    Good luck!!

    is a scrolling java script.
It should be running no problem. Its there on all the test pc s around the valley here that I have tried.

Let me know if you can get it fired up. I might have to tweek something here, or on the server.

As for the page being heavy, our visitors average 80% dsl, cable or faster. So this side of the site is built for them. I have a faster site without the music files that is a choice on the homepage.

Thanks Richard! I appreciate your help.
