Strange Ocurrence with Screen Capture

I work with the folks at Muvipix, a great group I might add. Working in Sony Vegas I did a Screen Capture, and pasted it into XaraX it left out the background stuff. When I pasted the same capture into Ps it gave me the whole thing. Any ideas?
