Question about inserting stat counter code

Hi,

I was wondering if somebody could help me. I put a stat counter code at the bottom of the page just before the /body tag. When I did this and uploaded the index file, the bottom half of my background color disappeared. I've done this before without any problems and don't understand what is going on now.

All I did was change the index.htm code. Should I put the code in the page and then output it? And if so, how do I put the code in where it is supposed to be? It has to be before the /body tag.

The address to the page is http://www.randomactsofkindness.us/ The Green background is supposed to go all the way down until the black bar.
