brush it off again

I made a brush but when I use it, it does not look like my object I created it with. I made this for the March scribble where I needed a chain.

I made the object with 2 layers, the top on feathered.

Btw, I have another brush in there that's kind of cool if anyone wants to grab it. It makes a spray of many colored circles.
