I'm curious about this texture. How did you create and color it? Is the entire thing computer generated? It looks like colored pencil or crayons. The whole thing looks hand done.

Never give up. You will never fail, but you may find a lot of ways that don't work.
Laura found an old Bugle at a shop in town. I have never seen a copper bugle before. It got to be my birthday present. Old and worn like me.
I drew objects in Xara. Some were extended into the shape for environment coloring to hide the end effects.
I exported te drawing in EPS and colored the objects in E3. The environment was from a copper elbow I saw in a hardware store.
Then back to Xara for coloring and texturizing. I used Mezzoforce Ice 1.03 for random color changes and grayscale texture tiles in Xara for bitmap transparancies. A little contone recoloring for a little green. Just a matter of changing overlay images until you get something you like.
