    Default Xtreme's Fill function

    Hi folks,

I'm new to Xara Xtreme (just bought it today after months of faffing with alternative software). I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it's possible to fill non-closed shapes. In particular I want to fill a Bold outined 'U' shape without having to close the top of the 'U' or mess about having to create two shapes, one with a bold line and another representing the un-lined fill area.

    Any help very gratefully received!

And thanks for the swift reply! Just what I needed. I hope they make this easier in a later release!

    YAM

Attachment: The Sign cutters method for creating a filled open shape

Vinyl plotters interpret ‘lines’ as cutlines, therefore cannot be used in signwork. Outling must be a shape.
In most cases, where a thin outline must be applied a larger substrate layer of vinyl is used which gives the outline effect once the top layer of vinyl is applied.
You could imagine, that while it is possible to turn a 2mm line into a
shape and then cut that from vinyl, applying it would require some special voodoo..!

Just tried the last one of those (Vinyl). Very robust. Very funky. :-)
