Not that we live way off the beaten track, but visitors

So I thought a map would help. Xara to the rescue.

Looks pretty good to me. My only suggestion would be you could loose a couple of the E15 tags... I think 4 are a little too many.
Thanks for your reply, John.
Spanish road numbering is a little odd, to say the least.
Road numbers are apt to change after major intersections,
which is why the E15s are thus strategically placed.
Also, a road may have more than one designated official
number. Motorway (or autovia or autobahn or interstate
highways or whatever they may be called where readers live)
may be numbered with an A or an E - why, I don't know.
Some roads have a national designation, some have a local
highway authority number or both.
For example, the road that runs north from the coast at Motril
to Granada (E902) also has a GR**** number where it does
not have motorway status.
Another road numbering system seems to exist on the more minor
roads, but that's another story.
Bet you're glad you brought that up now, eh?

Bob.

So where is your place? Is it the red dot ? Oh, nice map too!

Nice work on the map. I think Xara is excellent for that kind of work.
BTW, reminds me of my visit in Granada one year ago. A friend of mine plays classic guitar and we went to Granada to see some manufacturers and of course the Alhambra.

Yes, Bruce, we are at the red dot. Campo Cebas is a tiny hamlet about 6 km to the east of Castril de la Peña.
How about your part of the world?
I know you are responsible for the members' map in the very popular "where do you live" thread, but how about maps and photos/drawings of where we all live? I'm sure we are all interested in the whereabouts of other forum members.
Saludos,
Bob.

Thanks Sven-Ingvar for your reply, Granada is a spectacularly beautiful city, as I'm sure you will agree. Did you see any flamenco performances when you were there?

Bob.

That must be a spanish thing. I lived in a town with some spanish/mexican sounding names... The name never ran for more than a few blocks, then changed names, then they had a simular sounding street on the other side of town with way, or drive or something like that...
Maybe that is how to keep invaders/tourists out of your town... get em all lost.... Let's change the street names every block and 1/2 so nobody will know where anything is except us locals... Just think of the fun we could have giving directions...
