Usually http://whatthefont.com does a fantastic job of figuring this out -- but in the case of the Xara logo...

Bob, I think you're right. WhatTheFont finally agreed to process the logo (I outlined the individual letters of the logo and separated them to give the WTF recogition engine a little help).

Probably not, there's a bit of history on Especial Kay at http://www.scootergraphics.com/especialkay/

WhatTheFont is good for commercial fonts, but it's not so good for freeware and the independents. Coincidentally, I'd come across Especial Kay relatively recently, so recognised it when I downloaded Xtreme.

The upper case E and the lower case g are the real keynotes in that font.
