    Hi folks,

I would like to announce important update on AmphiSoft plugins "Convolution shaman" filter. New "Highpass" main functionality has been added; for several examples of using it for improving photos and seamless patterns, visit:

    http://photoshop.msk.ru/as/highpass.html

newcomers wonderind "what else is it good for" may be interested to take a look at http://photoshop.msk.ru/as/shamanesphoto.html as well. Absolute newcomers are also encouraged to check out the rest of the filters ;-)

    http://www.thepluginsite.de/knowhow/index.htm

Go to this page and scroll down to the bottom and on the right side of the page is a category of links that should give you some information on making your own filters.

Sorry for being a little late; first, thanks for enjoying my filters, I promise to keep them coming ;-)

Second, what as to developing them, I currently use a "rapid plugin development" tool called FilterMeister. It's available from http://www.filtermeister.com/ and, to my personal opinion, is the best tool of that class (easier than developing them in C but more powerful than FF, FiFo and such). However, I must warn you that it requires some programming skills and, needless to say, some math knowledge. Anyway, the unregistered version of FM lets you create your own code and test it at will, the only limitation is that you cannot compile a .8bf files. That means, you may learn as long as you want (no 30-days or any other limits) but before you will be able to distribute your filters, you must register. That's more than just "fair", to me.

Excellent filters, Ilya. Thank you for your hard work...and for sharing them with us!
