Old enough to remember the ZX Spectrum loading screen? I had a pair of socks the same colours!

That takes me back to the BBC Microcomputer days!
Tape loading! Used to wait many minutes only for the loading to fail.
Then... I got a disk drive. You have no idea of the JOY!

Thanks Rik. My paper-round money never quite stretched to a disk drive (or ZX microdrive). Always wanted a BBC micro as they looked sturdy with a nicer keyboard.
