Hi Egg, I can reproduce this if I disable 'Give new objects most recent attributes' . Please can you confirm whether you have this option disabled?

I always have it shut off.
I am thinking this should not be needed to be turned on for a style to not revert to the template setting. Once a style is updated, as long as there is not a "Next Style" feature as in layout and other drawing software, it should simply be the updated style.
Thanks, Mike
Thanks Mwenz. It looks like normal text is updated to match the new style. but with this option disabled, adding an additional text line/col/area will default to the original normal text style.
Late replying BB but I too confirm I always have 'Give new objects most recent attributes' turned off. I also totally agree with Mikes comment. Hope you can sort this
