Just found this one as well.

Here are a couple of my earlier works

I don't do a lot of artwork but I enjoy using XDP for the occasional graphic. It's from 2007 and I can't remember what it was about.

Hi,
Intersting thread an nice images!!
An extruded star from 11 years ago.
At the time I was looking to to get into vectors, starting with the simple vectors in Corel Painter.
I've worked a lot with Expression 3.3 and the acrylics beta but Xara had productive details which I liked compared to others I've tried..

Thanks for adding everyone. It's loads of fun to look back at the beginnings of your Xara work. I don't know if it's my imagination but there seems to be less and less graphics sites displaying peoples work. It seems that there used to be many more postings at these sites.
So today I'm going to post either my first or second drawing of a plane. I was trying to learn texturing in Xara. Most objects have a particular texture to their surface and I wanted to see if I could duplicate that in vector. I used a reference pic to draw the Blackbird plane and the background and refueling probe were my own. I spent hours trying to get the surface texture of that plane just right. The second valuable lesson I learned was don't use reference photo's for your main subjects. On one site I got accused of not actually drawing this plane but using raster to vector translation software. Even when I showed him the line drawing, it still didn't matter. The accuser, calling me a liar, taught a graphics course at a college. So valuable lesson learned, don't use reference photo's for drawing your subject, always be original. Sorry I'm rambling. So here's the Blackbird drawing. Done many years ago.
So come on TG'ers, keep those drawings coming.
