moving objects

I'm in the middle of designing a new site. I want to move the objects closer together but they will not move as close together as I want. There must be something checked but I can't find it. Please help.

I wonder if you have repel text under selected. If not can you upload the page that this is happening on? It help to see the actual page to determine what is causing this to happen.

If you right click on the objects, check the "Postion on page" and look and see what the "push" is set at. You may have a value that is keeping the objects from being placed next to one another.
