Sorry for asking if the answer is hidden some where on this forum! Done a google search also on this matter.

Around a week ago I purchased Xara web designer pro 365.

Creating my first site.

How do I change the homepage to have a custom url?

It currently displays www.example.co.uk/index

I would like it to display JUST the URL.

And how do I make custom URL's for other pages ( Not just the page name, targeting them at keywords. )

Dave, welcome to TalkGraphics.

This is not a task that a Xara product handles.
You need to have an ISP that allows server configuration changes to the .htaccess file.
There are quite involved and not for the faint-hearted: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.0/misc/rewriteguide.html.

Use the Web Properies/Page

The page title will be what appears in the browser tab. So you could title your index.htm page "Dave's iPad Bargains", another page, page2.htm, "Dave's Android Bargains" etc as well as applying individual page descriptions. As for comma separated keywords, I'd forget about these.

But as for the url, Acorn is correct, and is it really worth the bother. www.example.co.uk/contact.htm or www.example.co.uk/ipad-deals.htm look fine to me and I believe assist in seo ranking.
