I like number 3.

PS thought you only gave the client 3 options?
Steve, in all my 20 years as a designer, not ONCE did a client object to me only giving him one design. He was free to reject it, of course, and ask for more designs, but that would cost him more. And in 8 out of 10 cases, the client bought the ONE design I submitted. This arrangement made things clean and simple - for both me and the client.

Design 12 looks like it would fit this situation, not too modern, but not too hokey.
I like the layout and idea of Design 7, but I think the texture should be dropped.
I loved the Design 5, maybe a little too contemporary for them (The reason I believe the client is always wrong, but oh well!). But I don't think it should be used for the shear fact that the P connected to the C could be mistaken for a lower Case Q.
Well Gary, seems like you got a good number of suggestions, be creative with it, you're the expert

Being much more experienced than I (20 years that is!) I'll take your word for it. Thanks

For me simpler is better. 5 and 8 are wayyyy cool and in that order.
Let us know what get's chosen finally
:-)
Q
In order of preference: 3, 12, 5.

Yeah, I like #4!
I like the style, proportions and (especially) the way the white space and green line combine to draw in my eye more than any of the others.

Peat Stack or Pete's Tack?</p>
PS Is there some architectural significance in that shape you've used for nos. 1, 6, 9, 10 and 11?
I wish I had a scanner here.
To perhaps sway from my previous choice of #5 I happened across an invoice with a logo from the Calgary Petroleum Club up here in Canada.
The Club has a logo that is strikingly similar to #5. Maybe that was my bias towards #5. Or maybe that is a natural way to put those particular letters together. Thought I would toss this gem of useless info.
Perhaps this is like the mystery of finding pyramids in Mexico and in Egypt.
If you're interested in seeing the Calgary logo I can do that at home on request.
