This has been a bug in XDP since I began using it (version 6). Now using X11.

When outputting CMYK PDFs, unless one uses the default rendering intent profile, the document output intent is not set.

The dialog says a CMYK PDF set to use "Custom" will have the Output Intent embedded (with the "embedded" checkbox). This is only partially true. It is true that the profile is embedded. What is not true when not using a PDF/X profile is the document intent is not set. Using PDF/X output the document intent is set properly.

The net effect is that one needs to switch Acrobat to the proper output intent profile in order to view the PDF properly.

Other than POD print providers and some other print providers that insist on PDF/X-1 or -3 PDFs, I prefer to using the highest Acrobat compatibility an application supports. And will do so until such time those applications support PDF/X-4 properly (hint hint). This is to leave transparency live until RIP time.

Please fix this.
